The Missouri Presidential Primary voter registration deadline is end-of-day tomorrow.

I’ve not been much of a politically motivated person, but Ron Paul “cured my apathy”. Before learning about Ron Paul I didn’t feel like anything I said or did would make an actual difference.

Ron Paul stands for and strives to uphold the wisdom of the founding fathers that is imbedded in the Constitution of the United States. He is not in anyone’s pocket. For years he has been consistent, active and true to his character and constituency. I truly feel that he is solid, and passionate about holding the American People’s freedom and long-term prosperity as his goal.

Some important facts about Ron Paul’s record:

- Serves in Congress (10 terms to date)
- He has never voted to raise taxes.
- He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.
- He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.
- He has never voted to raise congressional pay.
- He has never taken a government-paid junket.
- He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.
- He does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program.
- He returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. treasury every year.
- He voted against the Patriot Act.
- He voted against the Iraq war.

These are the actions of a man that is FOR the American People. It’s sometimes hard to get a clear idea of what a candidate supports because of scattered interviews, articles and reports, so I’ve put together a succinct list of his goals as President as I understand them from his interviews and letters.

Ron Paul is for:

- Bringing much of our overall military strength back home.
- Strategic, rapid withdrawal of our presence in Iraq.
- Securing our borders and protecting national sovereignty.
- A more respectful, militarily defensive, free trade foreign policy
- Wise and conservative Federal spending.
- Reduce federal government to a size called for by the constitution.
- Defend the nation Corporate taxes as intended, not the IRS.
- Abolish the IRS to regain compliance with the constitution.
- Return much lawmaking power to the state rather than federal level.
- Putting the US in control of our currency not the Federal Reserve.
- Recover strength of the US Dollar by returning to the gold standard.
- Avoiding Global organizations that subject us to global lawmakers.
- Shifting away from Social Security, while restoring owed benefits.
- Keeping health care competitive and quality, not governmental.
- The 2nd Amendment for our national and personal security.
