Gou Karadi is one of the most extraordinary man I’ve ever had the opportunity to come into contact with. In my youth, we were set aside by our teachers and given a special curve. Our teachers wanted to challenge us and encourage us to raise the bar by which we judged our own work.

As time has progressed through life I would lose contact with Gou. Though my numbers may not have been listed and though I was difficult to find Gou would seek and find me. One time without years of contact Gou drove from Silicon Valley via motorcycle to find me working at a store in Eastern Los Angeles. So I didn’t have to work on Prom night Gou took a shift for me the very next day.

I can always count on Gou. He speaks the truth even when it’s inconvenient. We don’t agree on everything, but, I know Gou always comes from his heart. He is a warrior, scholar and one of the greatest men I’ve ever met.
