President Bush Visit to Springfield
It’s the hottest media ticket in town - the White House Press Pool. Breakfast at the President’s hotel was decent. Lot’s of grease in preparation for 42 minute speech President Bush is delivering to the citizens of Springfield. An invite only crowd includes major party players from Greene, Ozark and Taney Counties. They stand behind the president - many with camera’s (ruining my shots) as the President emphasiszes the party platform and encourages local Republican Leadership on the importance of the 72 hours plan. The National Archive is there …”Do you know how many times this speech has been delivered…we can’t wait for this to be over”. Many of the other media outlets feel the same way - this is something that I discover as I deliver imagery to local press outlets. One publisher tells me, “I wish they’d just tell the truth”. I remind her it’s our job to do that. It’s our job to tell the truth.
Interesting bit of data for you here. In a recent speech delivered by Google’s Founder we’re told in 5 years truth predictor technology will be very accurate. This means if politicians lie they’ll be caught in real time. Interesting concept..
Watching the media pool was fascinating to me. I examine my high tech low tech combo and come to some realizations about my media setup. In many ways I’m more advanced..
Major networks share footage using legacy technology all are familiar with. I brought two citizens off the street to take a photograph next to the pools setup.
